Morgan C. Jones

Morgan C. JonesMorgan C. Jones started his career as a stand up comedian, took a left turn as a television actor, arrived at theatre, got lost on the way out; went back to stand up to see if anyone had found his jacket - was told to look where he last remembered wearing it; went back to television to discover that he had left his jacket there, but that in his absence it had been developed as a twenty six episode agricultural soap opera and was regularly appearing on daytime TV as an agony garment.

Then lo! there came forth from the west a man who spake unto Morgan and did say in an mighty voice: “I am the Roger thy Gregg who shalt be known to thee and thine as ‘Rog’…do you want to be in a radio thing I’m doing itskindaweirdbutifyoureadityou’llseewhatI’mtalkinabout theresagiantrabbitandit’llberealneatyou’llsee….” Thus began Morgan’s long and fruitful sojourn with the magnificent Crazy Dog Audio Theatre.

In addition to stand-up, telly, stage and what not, Morgan was one half of www.2irish.com, at one time Ireland’s only daily updated political satire and topical comedy website - until he and co-creator Dermot Carmody found their way out of the room with the computer in it. 2irish has recently been reborn in the 2irish News blog.

In recognition of his work as a TV satirist, he was excommunicated from the catholic church by Tridentine rite in 1991. In spite of this, he frequently has to wade through rain forests of Parish Bulletins and Power to Change leaflets which are still pushed through his letterbox like A5 missionaries. How badly organised IS the Vatican anyway? Surely you would have thought that they would have informed Head Office after excommunicating a guy. Morgan is married, has six children, and dreams of one day getting the Dalai Lama really really really drunk.

dear our kid…
As an ex-pert ( now a bit portly sadly ) I can help
you make millions out of your web-site…..this time next
year you could be able to afford a yellow 3 wheeler van.
Now listen carefully …..if you were to put a golf guru dealing
with golfing enquiries…..why the thingie would take off like
a whotsit….think on …..talk to your partner on stage ..
Im only giving you these ideas as part of the piss process,
and after all we were once involved in a triad with your
angry brother. Look sharp…at ease
