Since the first show isn’t until September 6th and it’s still August, I can’t put up clips from the show. Instead here’s a couple of related items to whet, or indeed fatally injure, your appetite.

First we have a track I recorded for my 2005 show “Dermot Carmody’s Electric Gazette”. Entitled “About A Tractor” it tells the universally recognisable tale: Boy meets Tractor - Boy loves tractor - Boy has fling with off-roader - Boy looses Tractor. A hoary old chestnut I know, but I think this song is a decent enough addition to the vast canon of Tractor related Art.

Also included for your ears is an archive clip of 2irish Shortwave Audio News, first broadcast August 2000. It deals with an incident similar to one at the time in which users’ addresses and other details were allegedly obtained from Eircom by “hackers”.
