“At Last, The 1989 Show!” @ Ranelagh Arts Festival 2008

Musicians and Comedians Dermot Carmody & Morgan C Jones host a special edition of “At Last, the 1989 Show!” for Ranelagh Arts Festival. In their regular monthly shows for the last year Carmody & Jones have honed their wicked musical comedy act into impressive pointiness in their regular home at The Odessa Club. Now they bring their original songs, splendid asides and off-the-cuff improvisation to Ranelagh for one night only. From Bertie to Biffo, twixt Formby and FaceBook, to Beavers by way of Pope Benedict, the duo takes the audience on a musical journey of wit, pith and occasional stupidity. “At Last, The 1989 Show!” @ Greystones Theatre, Thursday August 14th

Four castor wheels have been attached to Mr. Morgan C Jones’ Double Bass. Mr. Jones & Mr. Carmody will start wheeling the bass southwards fololwing the regular Odessa Club Show in August, giving them a good 7 days to make it to the superb Greystones Theatre for their show there on August 14th.

Dermot Carmody @ The Dublin Comedy Improv

Dermot Carmody performs with The Dublin Comedy Improv on May 5th upstairs in The International Bar Wicklow Street. Dermot, formerly one of the mainstays of the Improv, returns to guest with fellow Dublin Comedy Improv stalwarts Ian Coppinger, Joe Rooney & Michelle Read.

Sugar Club Guest Spot for Carmody and Jones

Dermot Carmody & The Morgan C. Jones Band are joining Grand Canal as special guests for their gig in The Sugar Club, Lwr Leeson St, Dublin 2 on Sunday November 11th. It’s the first time the duo have taken the act outside their residency in “At Last, The 1989 Show!” in MB Slattery’s in Rathmines. In particular Carmody & Jones are looking forward to sharing the stage with Grand Canal’s other guest for the evening, the legendary Ronnie Drew. Doors are at 8pm.
